Happy Anniversary NC Bunny Blog!

Woot woot - we're 2 years old today (or our site at least)! Mommy got out the party hat for the occasion so we could celebrate. She's going to make banana pie for dinner too! Bunny and Winnie - and a few other fluffies along the way - have enjoyed their fame and of course will keep posing for bananas until all the bananas have been eaten. Thanks for reading!

Cruising

Wow, was that the boat Bunny Mom and Dad went on this week? I'd like to taste those flowers but unfortunately they didn't bring any back for me. We were very glad to see the bun parents come home, but seriously, you should bring presents!!!

Bunny Mom says all the other little visiting buns (Belle, Pearl, and Lily) are settling into their new homes and having fun with their new bun parents. Calabash and babies are also good!

We all are very happy to have a 3 day weekend so we can take lots of nice pictures. Happy Friday!

Shadow of the Poi Rat Troop has tagged us NC Bunnies. So, 7 random facts about the NC Bunnies:
1. Bunny has over 5 years of of "cat naps" to his name (see picture circa 2002).
2. Bunny loves his toy lion more than anyone ever.
3. Lily was introduced to Bunny and her 1lb body was quickly lost in 5lbs of bunny love humps (don't worry, he's fixed).
4. Winnie likes to meet Bunny at the room divider and pull out his fur when he's not paying attention.
5. Winnie likes to watch Lost. She's a bit obsessed actually.
6. Bunny really likes American Idol... that may be since his ears are flopped so he can't hear so well.
7. Winnie just signed an endorsement deal with Jenny Craig; she'll use the money for some bananas...

Lily's new home

Lily went to her new forever home this weekend! She was a little scared, but we hear that she loves her new mommy and family a whole lot. Her new mommy said she loves Lily so much that she didn't want to leave her to go to work on Monday. We can think of lots of reasons not to want to go to work, but Lily is by far the best! Thanks to the money we raised, we were able to send Lily with a spay voucher to use when she's old enough.

Pearl and Belle might be able to go home together - we'll send updates once we know for sure. They also have spay vouchers for their new bunny parents.

In other news, Bunny Mom and Dad get to go to the Bahamas next week - woot woot! Calabash and babies are doing very well and have gone to a new foster home where the bunny mom and dad will not be leaving to go on some boat to some foreign place to play something called shuffleboard... Bunny and Winnie will have to survive with Mama Carol. Somehow we know they won't starve...

Bunny updates!

Belle has sprouted two new arms... wait, those are feet, wait, there's Lily sqeezing into her spot by the water bowl. Man, they must need some rest after wreaking havoc on the cage that was clean just yesterday!

All of the new litter of 8 little bunnies are doing very well. We have 5 black bunnies and 3 gray - some have white mixed in. They get bigger every day. Sometimes one makes it to the edge of the nest but then they turn around and shove themselves back into the warmth. Cali is a good mama and they are definitely not going hungry.

You may have been wondering what Bunny and Winnie are up to during all of this. Bunny wanted to show off the biggest pile of hair EVER! Seriously, someone needs a new hairbrush...
